Growing Hope in Gaza

In August 2026, the children of Solid Bond School in a Gaza refugee camp planted a garden. They planted one young tree and twenty shrubs and plants, each symbolising a year of Finbar’s short life. With their hands in the sand, the children gave something lasting: a place of colour and growth amid so much loss. Solid Bond’s children will keep the garden watered and growing alongside every plant they planted in his honour.

With enormous gratitude to Paul and Hannah Weller, who helped make this memorial garden possible, and to Gaza Go Bragh (Gaza Forever), the grassroots humanitarian initiative delivering clean water, shelter, food, and medical supplies to displaced families in Gaza, and who cared for every detail in planting Fin's Garden. Every seed planted there gives children something rare right now — a moment of joy, a reason to hope, and a small act of care that helps them heal.
